New year

New year![]() ![]() What's up in Lund International Rotary Club? We have loads of interesting speakers coming up, but we also need more. Please contact Maria, hejamaja@gmail.com with your suggestions for events and speakers. This spring we will do mini-egos once a month, and you will all receive a request to hold one, only a short, 5 minutes, presentation of yourself or your work or life! Hope to see you all soon! Mostly Tuesday mornings, but sometimes we swap to an evening meeting, keep a close look in the calender!

Jiggers Project Success Continues!KIMONDO JIGGERS FOLLOW-UP REPORT-SEPT 13-17 2021Community members feel they have received a better understanding of what jigger infestation is, its causes and ways of eradication. Unlike before when they had a lot of misconceptions and myths about jiggers, they now understand that they have a direct responsibility in eradicating jiggers by changing their behavior especially on regular house disinfection, sanitation and general hygiene. ![]() |

GOOD LUCK Team Rynkeby - God Morgon LundTEAM RYNKEBY - GOD MORGON LUND receives SEK 1900 from Rotary Club Lund International. |
The LIRC Jiggers Project has started! We are very happy to report that the project is now well under way, together with Rotary Doctors in Kenya. The project is being carried out in the Kimondo area in Endebess sub-county, in north west Kenya close to the Uganda border. A Rotary jiggers campaign had previously been carried out here, but the need is great and many more people still need to be treated.

Digital RYLA ProgrammeDigital RYLAADVANCED programme – Spring 2021 The RYLA committee of District 2390 & Rotaract Helsingborg/Höganäs are running a digital version of the RYLAADVANCED programme, primarily for undergraduate students who wish to explore their leadership potential. The programme will be run via Zoom, from Helsingborg, in the Spring of 2021. Enrolment is now open! Please bring this notice to the attention of all eligible young leaders you know. And please note also that in order to benefit from the programme, candidates need a good command of the Swedish language. Participants will be selected on the basis of their ”Improvement Project” described in their application. We therefore encourage candidates to give it a good think! Something that wants a change, it may be big or smalI, a grand scheme, or something very down-to-earth, but be sure to consider your motivation carefully before submitting it! Here is a link to the application template. And here is a link to the invitation in Swedish.
